Do any of you guys run in the summer or do you lay your dogs up til fall? I run my beagles if I got them in shape all year long. I don't know what I'm going to do with the hounds. I might try some night running.

hillbilly i run mine with an old 3wheeler. just to get them a little exercise. you have to be careful runing when the youngins are out and about. mama and papa can get pretty frisky with the dogs. dont hunt one alone.

We've been out the last few weeks even without any snow. Took one yote and had several chases - mainly cold tracks that didn't amount to much. We will turn out occasionally this summer - probably on a Friday or Saturday night. I've been trying to start my dogs striking from the rig and want to continue that. If they open, I'll cut em' loose.

I don't have hounds, but I do condition year round. Will run mine off a quad, horse or even a bike(I get a workout this way too....prefer a quad!! ;D), and I swim them a lot. Our spring/fall events can have some very warm temps....the dogs need to be able to handle some heat.
