Anybody else excited about this little warm up that is on it's way? I'm on vacation until January 5th & I'm getting a new LED head for Christmas! Look out ringtails! My plans are hitting the woods everynight from Tuesday thru Saturday unless the rain is coming down in buckets. Until Saturday either the dog or me will probally be glad to see cold weather move back in! I'm gonna sneak in some time to run hares also....

This cold weather and wind is kind of a welcomed break, got 6 nice coon in the last week - all jumbo's. Hunting anything with dogs Rick, or you muzzleloader hunting?

Running coyotes. Had lots of running today. 4 of us seen 2 different coyotes & never got a shot. lol I just got my tracking stuff out & was trying to get a signal on a dog that I haven't heard for a while & the coyote jumped out on a road right in front of me & Beaver. He was looking down at a bunch of tracks. I'm standing there with tracking stuff in my hands & gun on my shoulder. Another guy had one coming right at him, he had a shot gun & someone talked on the radio & spooked the yote. We had coyotes running everywhere.

Geez, talk about action all over! There is supposed to be some colder weather and some more snow here for the next few days according to the 10 day forecast. Should make for some good yote running.
There was a Coyote up at hoffman church the other night barking at us (about 300 yds. away), I sent my cousin for the dog and held the middle ground. The yote never came near us, but we heard him fire up again when we were back at the truck. I hate them!
